Privacy Policy

About this policy

AtticSalt ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and processing personal information properly, lawfully and transparently, in accordance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). This policy explains how information is collected, used, disclosed and safeguarded when you visit atticsalt.co.za.

Information we collect

The website has no contact form. The optional current-website field prepares an email or WhatsApp message on your device; the website does not store or submit that field. You choose whether to send the message through the selected service.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand website usage and improve the site. Google Analytics may use cookies and process device and interaction information. Analytics data should not be assumed to be completely anonymous. We may also use Google Search Console to monitor search visibility and site performance.

You can manage or refuse cookies through your browser settings. You can also read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Facebook/Meta Pixel is not currently installed. If marketing tracking is introduced, this policy will be updated to describe it.

How we use information

Sharing information

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. Information may be shared with service providers supporting hosting, technical operations, analytics or agreed services, and with courts, regulators or law enforcement where legally required or necessary to protect our legal rights.

External services and websites

Links may take you to external services, including WhatsApp, Instagram, LinkedIn and portfolio websites. Their privacy policies and practices apply when you use them. AtticSalt does not control those services or their handling of information.

Security and retention

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure. Information is retained only as long as necessary for its purpose or applicable legal requirements.

Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information we hold, request correction or deletion, or object to processing on reasonable grounds. Contact us to exercise these rights.

You may also contact South Africa’s Information Regulator about a privacy complaint.
